What we stand for
Together for Unity • Welfare • Rights • Progress
Unity
One platform for Grama and Ward Sachivalayam employees across every district, mandal and village.
Welfare
Helping members claim the health, insurance and retirement benefits they are already entitled to.
Rights
Representing members on service conditions, pay, promotions and working conditions.
Progress
Building a permanent, professional association that outlasts any single committee.
Who we represent
GSWS employees, and government employees alongside them
Andhra Pradesh delivers most of its welfare schemes through Grama and Ward Sachivalayams — the village and ward secretariats staffed by digital assistants, welfare and education assistants, panchayat secretaries, village revenue officers, engineering and agriculture assistants, ANMs and administrative secretaries.
These are the employees who register beneficiaries, verify eligibility and hand over entitlements at the last mile. UWGEA exists so that the people who deliver those schemes are themselves represented on their own service conditions.
The association was founded in 2024 and is registered as 236/24. It operates through district, mandal and village committees, with a state committee coordinating representation before the departments.
